THE FOUNDATION

Maison Zokar Paris was founded in 2023. But it began much earlier, fifteen years ago, hand to hand.

Fifteen years spent selling fragrance, watching bottles change hands, compositions age well or poorly, signatures take hold or fade. Through selling, one learns to recognise. And through recognising, one ends up wanting to compose.

THE METHOD

Every fragrance from the maison begins with a raw material. When an absolute, an essence, or a tincture asserts itself through its singularity, its rarity, its power, we trace it back to its source. To the land that bore it, the hands that worked it, the gestures passed down through generations.

The fragrance comes last. As a response to the material that called it forth, never as a starting point.

THE FIRST CHAPTER

Vuelta Abajo is our first composition, signed by Nathalie Feisthauer. A tribute to the red earth of Cuba, where the rarest tobacco in the world has matured for three centuries.
