One matter. One fragrance.

Maison Zokar Paris was founded in 2023. But it started much earlier, fifteen years ago, passed from hand to hand.

Fifteen years spent selling perfume, watching bottles change hands, compositions age well or poorly, signatures assert themselves or fade away. By dint of selling, one learns to recognize. And by dint of recognizing, one eventually wants to compose.

Each fragrance from the house starts with a raw material. When an absolute, an essence, or a tincture stands out due to its uniqueness, its rarity, or its power, we trace it back to its source. To the land that nurtured it, to the hands that worked with it, to the techniques passed down for generations.

The fragrance comes last. As a response to the material that called to it, never as a starting point.

Zokar is not told in a single fragrance, but in a collection written over time. Each creation opens a new olfactory world: demanding, singular, made to last.

Others will follow. Each in its own time, each faithful to the same promise: the beauty of matter, nothing else.
